Terroir

Our 120 hectares of vineyards are located in the south-west of Sicily, between Trapani and Mazara del Vallo where the soil is composed mainly by loam.

The sun is constantly present all year round and develops hot summers and mild short winters. The softening action of the sea, thanks to its cooling breeze, keeps the crop healthier and adds saltiness to the vines.

The considerable stretch of the estate display different levels above the sea level and that allow the best expressions to our grape varieties.

For instance, Grillo and Inzolia perform best next to the sea where they can favour the same lovely salinity which is found in the glass. Zibibbo and the red grapes, instead, are grown on slopes of various altitudes to guarantee a good acidity , due to the temperature range between day and night, which is essential to make aromatic and more structured wines taste fresher and more elegant.
